As someone who has major issues with depression, loneliness, anxiety, and have more than a couple of times have had some pretty dark thoughts, this episode in particular really hits home for me. Steven Universe has always been a major coping mechanism for me when dealing with these kinds of emotions, but Steven Universe Future did something even more powerful for me: it related to how I was feeling and gave me a hug. Steven having these issues of worthlessness and loneliness and not wanting his friends to know how he's feeling really hurts me because they are exactly how I feel. I didn't think a kids cartoon of all things would make me feel this way, but I'm glad it did. Anyway, I don't really know who's ever going to read this, but if anyone does, thanks for reading my little rant.
This. Thank you for sharing, I'm glad that people relate, love and find comfort in this show. I feel like Steven is relatable for people, he is for me. I go through struggles eerily similar to these episodes. I absolutely LOVE this show. The messages, the art, the story, the people, the variety. I love it and I'm glad that others do too.
